Cutting Hay
Here are a few tips when you are ready to start cutting:
- Read your owner’s manual and properly adjust the conditioner rolls each time you cut. Remember: Every field is different.
- Lay the swath as wide as possible without running over the swath. You may need to widen your tires out.
- Don’t cut until the dew has gone out of the hay and stop cutting before the temperature reaches the high for the day. (9:00 am to 3:00 pm)
- Get the maximum drying time on the first day before the windrow settles on the ground.
